X “Abercastle afterglow” SOLD

Abercastle is a small inlet not far from Trefin and Mathry on the North coast of Pembrokeshire. It has a delightful little beach, with summer moorings and is protected by headlands on either side, the northern side has an island, which can be explored on a low tide. Abercastle was once a bustling natural Harbour, you can still see old ruined lime Kilns, Mills and grain stores lining the shore, a reminder of its industrial past. Today it is a quiet village with its long narrow beach to explore. This was painted in the winter on a low tide after the sun had gone down. The distant coral pink sky hints at the, afterglow of the setting sun, where it tantalises the eye across the purple sands and out to sea.
